The name of the first ship was “VN 12-1 Cecilia, Pride of Venus”. VN meant Venus navy. 12 meant it was 12th and final proto type. 1 meant it belonged to Venus fleet #1.
Introduction of this ship meant that a thousand years old design of United Sol’s cruiser (USF Courage) finally saw an upgrade. However, adaptation was excruciatingly slow due to the fact that this new model broke every single manufacturing standard set by United Sol’s cruiser.
In the end, this type of cruiser was almost exclusively used by Venusians as Andromeda union developed their own cruiser shortly after the fall of United Sol.
[VN 12-1 Cecilia, Pride of Venus] was captained by Cecil himself and was used only by Cecil. After Cecil’s retirement, the ship was sent down to Venus surface and became a museum right outside of Fallen Crater.
The length of this cruiser was 250 meters and had crew capacity of 250 with huge 500 optional capacity (windowed quarters).
It had significantly more firepower than United Sol’s counterpart while spotting slightly thinner armor plates in exchange of more powerful shields. Overall, this ship was much more capable than USF Courage.
This cruiser also had far more recreation options than United Sol’s cruiser as a whole deck was dedicated to recreations. It spotted two windowed cafeterias and had two secondary internal windowless cafeterias.
A major difference compared to USF Courage was that VN Cecilia was incapable of landing down on a docking bay, which was the standard docking method for majority of space vessels in year 9599, because the ship didn’t spot landing pads. Therefore, mooring was required for the ship to be docked. Mooring would eventually become a new docking standard later.
However, VN Cecilia featured far stronger attribute (balance) thrusters which allowed the ship to be able to maintain flight under weak atmospheric space with moderate gravity such as 0.7 and below which meant the ship could actually descend down to high planet atmosphere as long as it maintained its speed; this didn’t provide any benefit other than superior precision in orbital bombardment and slightly nimbler maneuverability.
VN 12-1 Cecilia would live on to become the symbol of Venus for its independence and heritage.
