Spaceships (16)

Two Clusters is a sci-fi story. So, obviously there are space ships.

The spaceship 3D models are all my original designs modelled in Blender.

Akabasa 2 was released in 9341 by Red Plate Shipyard (RPS). As a bigger brother to the original Akabasa, RPS continued to apply their company mantra on this model as well.

The mantra was: Make it affordable, keep it low tech, and paint it red.

Akabasa 2 had exactly twice freight capacity compared to the original Akabasa.
This freighter was still considered a small freighter and solo merchants often purchased this as an upgrade to original Akabasa.
And, although RPS did not recommend this ship for livestock transports, it was often used for livestock transports.

Released in 7490, Elephant freighter was a cut down version of the infamous Mammoth freighter. After the massive failure Mammoth had become, the Bau was desperate to get just something out there to divert some attention away.

The result was USF Elephant. Because this freighter was 1/10 of its size, the super structure issue was gone.
Then the Bau handed the blueprint over to USF Navy royalty free and even allowed the blueprint to be download by everyone from the net later.

In the end, Elephant freighter was widely used by merchants and the like.

SSS Vyn was SSS Robin’s big brother.

Released on year 9617, Vyn was a frigate class “fighter”. Its concept was similar to 3Ra Blackfly, except that Vyn was designed for combat outside of Nebula, thus it had shields.

Accounting leaks from SSS revealed that the company never made profit with sales of Vyn. However, it was believed that SSS was never concerned with making profits with the ship. Instead, it appeared that engineering teams at SSS treated Vyn as a sort of technological marvel.
Indeed, Vyn was certainly way a head of its time. The frigate featured a fair amount of parts that were unique to the ship only, increasing its manufacturing cost unnecessarily.

The cost of this frigate was 33,000,000c. The default option came with the highest settings.

USF Stiletto was United Sol’s de facto patrol frigate.
Released in 8537 alongside USF Courage, this frigate replaced painfully aged USF Badger frigate.

While frigates were no match for cruisers, they were effective against pirates who utilized frigates and fighter crafts. Therefore, frigates were generally used to patrol friendly space. Frigates were often featured alongside of a group of cruisers as a mean to control smaller crafts in battles.
Frigates were also often used as a stepping stone for navy cadets.

Codenamed Stiletto, this frigate featured 10 turrets. 8 turrets were available for frontal assault. For broadside, 5 turrets were available. Only 2 turrets were available for its rear.
Its maximum crew capacity is 20 with recommended minimum crew of 5.
Its relatively small size meant its bridge is exposed which was the ship’s major weakness.

SSS Hippo was an inexpensive shuttle class space vessel. This craft was widely used for a short interplanetary travels.
This space craft was relatively inexpensive and was even cheaper than SSS Morton (A luxury space car). The craft was priced at 300,000c with default options.

With an optimal capacity of 7 + 1 pilot, this was essentially a space bus. It featured a single steam shower system along with full hygiene options, making prolonged space-stay possible if absolutely necessary.

The pilot chair was positioned on front with passenger chairs attached on sides. Four front passenger seats had an access to the window of the shuttle.
A steam shower plus other facilities were located on the back.

SSS Robin was an all-purpose space vessel. Its class was a cross between a fighter craft and a frigate. With maximum crew capacity of 4, it featured full hygiene options, allowing prolonged stay in space.

The main distinct feature of this vessel was its easily customizable hardpoint on top, enabling this ship to be able to take various roles from being a miner to being a combat vessel. By default, the ship came with a high powered mining turret but it was relatively easy to swap out the turret.
With WASP operating system’s combat capabilities, SSS Robin would instantly become a heavy fighter once its turret is swapped out.

Lightwave shipyard was a space vessel construction company based on Mars. Even after the independence of Mars, the company was still allowed to operate within United Sol and elsewhere.

The company has three ships under “Worker” designation and this class 1 is the smallest and a low-tech variation.

Priced at 480,000c with default options, the ship was actually cheaper than SSS Morton which was a luxury car.

The release date of Blackfly is unknown. It was believed that 3Ra Syndicate designed and produced them but even that wasn’t a proven fact.

There were certainly conflicted reports on the details of this vessel, and seeing the exact same design was seen even during the alien invasion, people outside of the Nebula believed that there were many different internal revisions on the same hull.

U.E. Osprey was the true successor of USF Courage.
The desire to replace aging USF Courage had been there for thousands of years. However, with fractured United Sol, the steps could never be made.

After formation of United Earth, the first step they took was developing a new cruiser to replace USF Courage.

AN Liberator was Andromeda union’s own cruiser developed in house. The ship was, for the most part, an answer to VN Cecilia. After learning that Venus launched their own cruiser model in VN Cecilia on year 9747, they rushed the development of their own cruiser model.

The internal codename for the project was “Acshell” who was a heroic figure that liberated Andromeda colonies from United Sol.

Acshell’s story is covered in [Legends arc] [Andromeda rebellion] [9071].

The Mammoth freighter is the largest spaceship known to men in Two Clusters. Only stations are bigger than the ship.

As of year 9599, the freighter design is retired and it is understood that no Mammoth freighter is in service although the blueprint is easily accessible at Earth archive.

SSS Slate is Super Star Shipyard’s main freight space vessel. It is also one of the largest ships by size as well as volume in Two Clusters.

The only larger freight vessel is the retired freight Mammoth model.

Red plate shipyard was one of leading shipyards in Andromeda system. They were originally third party shuttle manufacturer aimed at civilians.
Although almost exclusively shuttle manufacturer, the company had capacity to manufacture bigger things and released “Akabasa” freighter line in year 9333.

United Sol never truly invested much into fighter crafts. They referred ship to ship combats to preserve resources. USF fighter craft (Codenamed Wasp) used ammunition and used batteries to power their engines. Using actual ammunition meant that United Sol wished to shy away from using fighter crafts.

Venus government, after breaking away from United Solar system federation in year 9599, had allegedly spent 30 years to develop this cruiser.

The codename for the cruiser was “Cecilia”, and the first production model appeared in the second Earthian-Venusian War in year 9747.

USF cruiser was the main workhorse spaceship in Two Clusters between year 8537 to 9800. They were reliable, versatile, and tough in both armors and shields.
The initial codename of this cruiser was USF “Courage” and was introduced by USF navy in year 8537
The ship was also adapted by Andromeda union as well as Venus & Mars with slight modifications.
Therefore, this specific cruiser design was the most popular ship design found in Two Clusters. Even after new cruisers were developed, USF Courage was often used in conjunction with others.
It was due to a fact that USF Courage was much easier to manufacture due to established manufacturing lines.
